Snapshots of their MemoryA Poem by Chris ShawWishing all my poetry friends a wonderful Christmas. For those who don’t celebrate Christmas , my best wishes.
once upon a festive month
festooned for all the street to see the fairy lights adorned a tree and outside too the lamps were lit this year the cheer is in the shade the house is empty void of life yet I recall the laughter when those neighbours giddy in their prime celebrated Christmas time with friends and all their family yet now their days have come and gone no longer present is their song though lovely in our minds we hold the snapshots of their memory © 2023 Chris ShawReviews
