Random Kindness

Random Kindness

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(Especially at this time of year)

"
when all the world’s in conflict
and the path ahead uncertain
each one of us in our own small way
can lighten someone’s burden

so if you read these words today
please remember what I’ve written
and practice what I’ve asked of you
to see the warmth you’ve given

a simple greeting like hello
this can’t be understated
can lift sad eyes and spirits too
like a balloon does when inflated

Dear Chris,
Such simple yet sound words of wisdom. When we're kind to others, we're kind to ourselves. So, your words are the perfect recipe for lasting joy for all. The world is so much a better place if we all adhere to basic acts of kindness. Loved this beautiful poem. ❤

Sometimes a wave in passing is all someone needs; a simple sign of acknowledgment can change someone's whole day.

So profound. I am a massive believer in paying it forward.

Carry kindness with you wherever you may walk. Else you may never know when someone really needs to talk.

I'm not trying to save the world nor am I so vain to think I can change the world. I just guard my small portion of it for innocence and flowers to blossom and grow. My garden may be small but it is filled with beauty, peace and love. It is not planted for the world to admire but to brighten only a corner in a sometimes, otherwise ugly world. But if everyone grew flowers and hope instead of thorns and despair the entire world could be made beautiful.

Chris, this is a wonderful poem. I love how relevant this poem is for this day and age and I appreciate how you've highlighted that with such few words. It has a very nice cadence too that complements the tone of the song. Thank you for sharing :)
