Fair and Foul

Fair and Foul

A Poem by Chris Shaw

witness
a young woman
educated in hate
whose finely chiseled looks
are drop dead gorgeous

until she speaks

when that full kissable
pout opens
to an estuary of abuse

a torrent of profanity
gushes forth
spouting excrement

how her features morph
contort to ugly

her dark eyes violent
her lips spit bullets of venom
ice crystals splinter
in her frozen heart
as she celebrates

death and torture
of innocent civilians

without an iota
of compassion nor a
tear of remorse
while poison courses her veins

a cancer unchecked
planted and nurtured
in her creator’s
fractured garden

In America we refer to these types of women as "Karen". Mix an attitude of entitlement, lack of respect, and self awareness with alcohol and it's always a good time. Unfortunately, these people tend to breed and this attitude/disposition gets taught to the children at too young an age to give them a real chance at not being horrible adults... and the cycle begins again. It's really just different variations of borderline personality disorder in my opinion.

I also have known women like this ... face of an angel with a devil heart.
Also i wonder if karma ever repays their vile attitude towards innocents ?

I knew someone just like this and it is funny how beauty can become so ugly in the briefest of moments. It is sad and makes me wonder, why can't people just be nice? It is so easy to be nice. Well done Chris. You definitely capture the hideous-ness of the situation.

Gee
Brain washed from early years this then passed on without thought through generations.
Some of the best looking folk turn out to be the ugliest.
One to get the reader thinking.
Hi Christine, am up in Derbyshire for three days with the pooch and my better half, blowing a gale and raining animals :))

This reminds me of those few women who are named the black widows, cold and calculating. Beauty is the entrapment but with an evil foul mind. Nice one Chris

We do indeed live in the very troubled times. In days gone by, we gravitated to leaders and role models who spoke with passion for bettering the world and uniting peoples, people who looked to make the world a better place. How have we swung so far around that the ones we worship now are the ones who spew hatred and intolerance? What is this world coming to? Your words speak so much truth.
