Says The MuseA Poem by Chris Shaw(erratic she is )
i’m with you
through the seasons and all that they draw in from the promise of a brand new year to a snowdrop show in spring through the blazing heat of summer burn to the turn that comes with fall with every golden leaf that drifts or is whipped by a hostile squall I’m with you when the cracks appear and the ice is far too thin when the doubts of winter linger as those shadows settle in for that’s when strength is needed i love you to your core when your setbacks scar each working day it’s then I love you more I’m with you when I’m idle and my words are somewhat lean it’s then I feel a certain guilt when my conscience says I’m mean but know i’ll not desert you it’s just a short reprieve and though my absence may be felt in truth I’ll never leave © 2023 Chris ShawFeatured Review
