Actually could go into so many aspects of this one as far as it lapping over into metaphor but I won't. The layers show even when the holiest of holies, those white-suited angels from every aspect of water, once they touch down onto the truth, well, even they must deal.
Brilliant and I would love so to expand but not going to...lol. Thanks!~

I love the haiku, the visuals overall, and the smile that the last line delivered. Great job!

Thanks Linda. Pleased to say the swan regained its composure pretty quickly.
A vivid image of nature at her best. Nature has a sense of humor too. A great Haiku

I so enjoyed this poem and the last stanza really brought back some memories. A song by Paul Simon called Slip sliding Away. One of my favorites of his because it's such a haunting tune. A nice poem Chris.

An unusual image Chris, always sad to see elegance brought down.

I love haiku that paints pictures in my mind's eye...

haha, and Charles revealing a hole in his sock .... oooh that did make me laugh:))
Slip sliding away? Makes me think of an old rock song. No one ever shows something like this happening on the nature shows. We like to think swans have more dignity.

I got a visual out of this one! Fabulous to do that with just a few words. It reminds me of the Canada geese we saw on the lawn of the doctor's office. My little girl and I did the "goose walk" with them until they went back across the road. Great job on this.

This sounded like a beginning of a wonderful song. Few more lines and it will be an awesome one.
