echoes from the past

Kind of feels like this Senryu is related to your Rendezvous poem. You swept up the echos and found something more to write about in the pile of past. I wanted to attach the two since Senryu is about the foibles of mankind and they seemed relative to each other.

All things do pass, both the pleasant and the painful. The new broom mentioned is probably a new state of mind, one that has gently released the past.

The sound of moving on. Sometimes it's welcome, with a sigh of relief other times it's weighed with the burden of grief. 💛

I like what you did here.
The past is old but a new broom sweeps in to clean, unknowing of its memories.
Nicely done.

Nothing speaks of change and transition just like a new broom to sweep away the past and make it clean for the future. Cobwebs of sadness will gather and always linger otherwise. A sad senryu but one also tinged with hope. ❤

What a tender poem, touching places the broom couldn't reach.

I miss my grandparent old house. I try to make my house the same for my grandchildren. The echoes of the past. Stories for us to expand to the future generation. Thank you dear Chris for sharing the amazing poetry.
