Another Lovely DayA Poem by Chris Shaw
as sun glare burns bright
energising bones weary from coolness of recent June days a mallard lazes on the pontoon absorbing the early morning heat dozing in half sleep willows in the distance dip their tumbling tresses into the river's mirror reflection while a single feather in its softness a white purity caresses the surface water with a light morning kiss there is bliss for those who dwell in moods of blue if they take off their shoes and dance to nature's gift how uplifting is this coming our way what's more not a penny to pay for gazing on sights set before our eyes © 2022 Chris ShawFeatured Review
