Love's Rain Falls

Love's Rain Falls

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

For. Beautiful Beth my granddaughter

"
ma petite fleur
in darkest of nights
i hear your tears

jack boots trample
the spring flowers of
your heart

your sobs are my pain
your broken chains
touch the core of me

love can be cruel
striking with a serrated knife
you bleed butcher red

for the first time
and unlikely the last
love's rain falls

love's rain falls

Beth is a very lucky young woman indeed .. I am sure she will learn quick, after all, she has an excellent mentor ....................................... it wasn't that many years ago I scribbled something very similar for my own petite fleur, who married this very June :)

What a concept and what a tribute. Love is never ever easy and this lovely poem encapulates the whole concept so beautifully.
