Temporal

Temporal

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(lyrics, muse is singing )

"
so what use is anger
inflicting self pain
let it drift from
lost remnants
there's nothing to gain

let it sail on the high seas
let it fly in blue sky
for life is for living
there's no time
to cry

veiled mists have now lifted
those ghosts have now gone
once haunted it's over
oh yes it's all over
along with your song

what remains is a memory
a flower's last bloom
pink petals have faded
there's no sense
of gloom

I love that staza. we can't dwell on disapointments and tragedy for life goes on and we must live it before our time is up. I could hear these lyrics being dung to a very hauning tune.

Anger is self destructive of held onto for too long. It is better to let it go and not let gloom enter our hearts.

Hello, Christine! :)
This is a lovely rhythmic rhyme. Lets enjoy our lives, let the anger wither, and the happy blossoms thrive. Thanks for sharing.

Your thoughts appreciated mattavelli, thanks for checking in.

This portrays anger so good.
All those mixed emotions make one.
You just got to let it go.

Let go of your anger, there is nothing to gain, enjoy life’s every moment and away gores your pain….all the misery and ghosts are gone, they’re only a memory now and let in be long….remember the fliers in bloom.
Nice work Chris

This ought to be shared in mindful-ness groups, for it captures so elegantly the concept of letting emotions and thoughts sail on by like clouds in the sky, without attaching to them or fighting with them, both of which cause the pain. It is self-inflicted, but we don't realise that until we begin to understand the control we have over our own minds. The song - our own verbalisations.

Doesn't necessarily make that easy for anyone, but there's a huge amount of wisdom in this piece. Letting go is freeing. I feel a lot of freedom and relief in this write.
Thank you, I enjoyed this a lot.
Laura.

Though the poem seems to speak of a bygone romance, the poem is full of good spiritual advice. Holding on to grievances corrodes the soul. It may not be easy at first, but ASAP let them "fly in blue sky." The last two lines reflect the ideal outcome of such a situation.
