Kismet

Kismet

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(a little light romance)

"
when our lips met in breathless tender touch
as eyelids drew their blinds on bustling world
let memories of that moment's state of bliss
reside inside our minds for all of time
as butterflies chased moonbeams in night's dark
two hearts entwined like grapes grown on a vine
while stars saluted pathways edged in bright
those feet were floating six feet off the ground
the axis of the planet came adrift
all sense of time departed when we kissed

Hello, Christine! That's a serious kiss. Be careful, you're liable to get lost in space behaving like that. Haha
Thanks for sharing.

Strangely, my mind as reading this happens to project a vivid imagery of this. Really, like the imagery and the words just flows smoothly. I am intrigued by what could have inspired you to write an amazing piece.

Thank you Kent.
A kiss says so much.
A kiss remembered in sweet bliss.
Captured beautifully in this piece.
Nicely done.

Thank you Melinda.
And you sigh at the thought and replay it over and over again, never really minding how goofy the smile on your face was at the time, too happy to do anything about it and just live in that moment again and again.
Ps... I bet that goofy smile is back ay the thought of it ☺️

Thank you Lorry :)
Sweet delight woven within these lines... how sumptuous.... only yesterday I wrote about my last kiss.... a short somewhat sad piece which I haven't shared.
