Kismet

Kismet

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(a little light romance)

"
when our lips met in breathless tender touch
as eyelids drew their blinds on bustling world
let memories of that moment's state of bliss
reside inside our minds for all of time
as butterflies chased moonbeams in night's dark
two hearts entwined like grapes grown on a vine
while stars saluted pathways edged in bright
those feet were floating six feet off the ground
the axis of the planet came adrift
all sense of time departed when we kissed

Such feelings of love on thinking of a loved one but how desire and lust for each other speeds up this process until this horniness subsides to a more sustainable plateau of love. Nice one Chris.

For we long to relish in this kind of moment and forget the world but two in the moment never wanting it to end. A rush comes taking over as one may have never felt before, souls touching with the sparks of the kiss. I have been here and still am with each tender to immense kiss from my hubby. Enjoyed reading this beautiful, flowy piece.

Kismet / kismat.. The choice of title is very thoughtful.
It's mere destiny / fate in a world full of endless possibilities that people meet, their hearts get Entwined . Beautifully expressed

Light romance... your poetry is so light and fluffy and feathery here, a perfect word to describe, dreamy! But with a lot of wiseness underneath, and the word usage is perfect. Just so intricate and wonderfully put. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful, butterfly-inducing piece!

Thank you Tepo. Your visit appreciated as is your encouragement.

Well, there are kisses and then there are kisses. The one described here seems to have triggered something like a mystical experience. You usually read about these only in romance novels (not that I read romance novels). As I recall, kismet means fate. That we all might be so fated.
