Impulsive SpringA Poem by Chris Shaw
when eager spring pursued a speedy path
dashed in without a thought of taking heed hoodwinked the yawning bulbs to early rise threw off that winter coat she did not need enjoyed the heat of summer come too soon in haste no time was wasted that's for sure magnolia in silence suffered so unfurled those blooms fell quickly to the floor while frosted breath at night made all retreat as snow surprised our eyes with rising dawn all colour gone the outlook bridal white our garden fair stood lovely though forlorn yet blackbirds undeterred their chorus heard a gift of song for all and unreserved
