Solemnity

(remembering all who have lost their lives through covid)

confetti petals

in shades of pale pink

settle on soft green

yesterday's sorrows

a sad parting of ways

feel each one fall

as they cascade

in a fountain of sorrow

souls departed

broken hearted

are many who grieve

silent thoughts in loss

It's a deadly world war grinding on for years & hardly anyone acknowledges this steady attrition is REAL PEOPLE LOSING REAL PEOPLE! So light, so pretty, they seem so small. Each one added to the mass and the numbers grow and grow. Those small petals grow in size and seem to be overwhelming. The weight alone enough to keep you down. Hopefully, it will soon be over.
