A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(for my friends)

"
may your days be brimful of joy
overflowing with spring's happiness

as lambs frolic in greenest farm fields
decked with dawn's first dew droplets

while each bud on bending branch
waits to burst into blissful blossom

where blackbirds greet you in a
chorus of contented hopefulness

and brook's waters gurgle over old
granite stones now worn smoother

permit the sapphire sky to swallow
those bluest mood troubles away

so rays of warm sunshine can heal
any harmful doings done to you

while niggling aches and pains
swirl swiftly down yesterday's drain

breathe in slowly exhale calm
restore equilibrium, banish all pain

I meditation for the soul. A song for the heart. I love spring season-My favorite next to autumn. The very beginnings of the birth. The birth of a new leaf. A flower. The bird’s song. And then the young baby chirps of a new generation.

And yes! A new REVIVAL...

Chris. Thank You! Happy Easter

A joyful bubbling rhythm, as if one is floating along with it, taking in the whites of the lambs, the greens, the peace. It gives me the feeling of healing, of joy and hope. Thank you for the natural meditation and beauty.

This poet excels in nature imagery, and this offering is filled with it. Springtime literally cascades through the poem. Liked the last two verses especially; they make me think of the passing of this miserable, plague ridden winter.

Thank you for your visit and kind appreciation Audie. All the best.

This is fabulous and it reminds me of Eagle River in Colorado when ice and snow melt off the mountain and a stream of ice cold clear water that you can see the stones and pebbles so clearly through and you dip your feet in and cool off on a 100 degree day is perfect, pure heaven on earth. Lovely writing

dearest Chris... we need the calm beauty of the Lambs in the field and dawns morning dreams of
Hollyhocks blooming along the gurgling waters.
Your poems will rescue us forever and a day. gently, Pat
