I meditation for the soul. A song for the heart. I love spring season-My favorite next to autumn. The very beginnings of the birth. The birth of a new leaf. A flower. The bird’s song. And then the young baby chirps of a new generation.
And yes! A new REVIVAL...
Chris. Thank You! Happy Easter

A feel-better poem that refreshes, inspires and, oh yes, makes me feel better!
"while niggling aches and pains,
swirl swiftly down yesterday's drain,"
is a gem, sweet as April's rain :))

I wrote it on the cusp of last spring. How I wish spring was that near now. Many thanks for your lovely review.
there was a woodpecker in the tree behind my mothers house. I didn't see her, but heard her familiar rat-a-tat and recognized it from the many cartoons i've watched.lol/ We have so much to cleanse ourselves of and from. So, at your poetic suggestion, i've started my days with a large glass of water and a seat somewhere in the sun. Then a big exhale from the ugly and the irritating circumstances of 2020-2021.. An uplifting poem is what the world needs most of all.... beautifully written....dana

I can remember many cartoons about woody woodpecker that brought a smile to my face. The last year has been awful worldwide. I find nature calms me when I get stressed. Just a few minutes can make a great deal of difference and concentrates the mind on less crap. We can also learn so much from observing the natural world abd tge sun's energy akwats gives me a boost. Take care.
Nothing heals like nature does . If we let ourselves be consumed by wonders of nature , if we open ourselves to that beauty , we can truly in your words , restore equilibrium and banish all pain . This piece was a little more beautiful that 'very' . keep safe and well :)

here's the link , an ebook . it would be an honor to have a poet as brilliant as yourself to let me know where i need to improve . Keep smiling , keep shining .
Such a difference in this view of peace and rebirth compared to that of those who do not value nature's finest gifts, nor even afford them a second look.
We have a red-wing blackbird male who returns to us every year for six months to raise a song and a brood. We enjoy him so much and we were glad to see your mention of the "blackbird chorus" and that your work is "out there" for the enjoyment of others who relate foremost to nature. Thank you Chris!

Ahhhh, like a mantra sending us to nirvana! What idyllic thoughts filled with rich imagery, Chris. The warmth of the sun does heal and the beauty of nature is always a great balm for the soul. So very lovely, Chris. Lydi**

Surely Spring has sprung for you and I'm glad. Trees growing greener and greener with their buds waiting to sprout. I love how you pick up on all those things that make our anticipation of Spring so enjoyable. Gone at last the doleful days of winter and hopefully too, gone are the dreds of Covid. I get my second shot Monday. I hope that you and yours are getting them.
Take care - Dave

A gentle, calming, beautiful poem. I can see how good this would be to read while feeling upset or anxious- it reminds you of all the good, beautiful nature right outside your window if you just look out there. The rhyming is done brilliantly. Reading this really does revive and refresh you, exciting you for the warm days and Vitamin D to come! The positivity reminds of 'Here Comes The Sun', it's uplifting in that same way. But it really is it's own, beautiful classic piece of art.

Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
