“from bleakest night comes brightest day
when rays of sun break through at dawn”
Beautifully penned lines dearest Chris. Your words float upon the day as a graceful prayer to Gaia, an extolling of her comfort to man, each morning renewed. Great message, imagery, metaphor, rhyme, cadence, alliteration… Master Class write my friend!

I"m not really familiar enough with the forms poetry can take....
...but this one put me in mind of a sonnet. That form is similar if not the same.
I really like your appeal and thanks to Gaia, who does all the things you so aptly wrote here. Even at night, when all is dark and still (or not still enough) she does the duties that lead to morning, when most feel a lightening of spirit and heart. Dawn is energizing and also a representation of more life and a continuing of ideas and love. I wish the best for you. Your writing is always appreciated! The work you put into it, and the sharing, is evident here and elsewhere.

This would heal a wearing soul.
Every wound comes along with its healing,
only if can pay attention and listen.
Every day of life is full of sorrow,
yet it gives us so many chances to get over it.

dearest Chris... another Year ... a few Tears will bring another Spring.
Dancing flowers and Bumble Bees with Butterflies and Humming Birds.
we pray for our Friends in Peril who only want to live in Peace among the Shepherd's Sheep. Ukraine is in our Prayers... we are One World and Sad to say that Russia is out of Control. Miracles are made for all the Beautiful Spirits young and old who need the Grace of a Loving God. tenderly, Pat

Thank you dear Pat. We do indeed pray for Ukraine. Heartbreaking scenes.
Glad you are feeling well. This poem is much needed for our hard times, uncertain times and chaotic ones. You are so right. We need to turn pages, to fill our minds with hope and see through the fog of day.

Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
