Rises With The Sun

Rises With The Sun

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

( Day 7 of lockdown)

"
sleep filled eyes wake to warmth of
rose pink glow from ceiling to walls
.
old sol is doing his best to create
enticing hues to welcome new day
.
views from an angled window on
third floor finds skyscape of wonder
.
beyond garden boundaries ripe
strawberry sorbet melds to lilac
.
subdued baby blues embrace
splashes of bold molten gold leaf
.
heart enchanted, gift of sight prized
contentment and blessings realised

Damn...that strawberry sorbet and lilac line made me hungry and this piece made me hungry for more than just food. What a wonderful moment, we have to snatch them out of the air when we can, enjoying the miracles that are given to us every day like sight and the ability to fall in love with a sunny Sunday morning.Yay..this was amazing.

My pleasure...
So poetic and describes perfectly what light and sunrise
can create when windows are open to reflect the colors of
lavender and rose. You write a poem with a baton that stirs
the emotions of a Violin Concerto... tenderly, Pat
