in a jet black mass
a solitary bright star
signals renewed hope

Ah, the force is strong in you Chris... And thats coming from someone who has only watched the first star wars movie, and not even all the way through.
Reminds me of Earyhrise, the picture of earth taken from the moon. How that blue/green pebnle must be such a wondrous sight amongst the vast blackness.
Packs such a punch, I had to check you hadn't snuck in a few more syllables 😀

I love writing that can cram so much into a few lines. The big picture packed tight but in it there is so much allowance for the mind to wander. Exploration process. Nice work.

the star will always symbolize hope a never ending hope that is why we are continuosly searching for the brightest star and perhaps in one way or another the wish will come true
