The witching hour, which I suppose to be midnight, isn't nearly as scary as "dead time", which is generally deemed from 3 to 4 a.m., to me. Some sketchy stuff goes on in the wee hours of the morning. I don't really believe in ghosts but I've had some strange experiences with things I would consider "not normal". But this poem wasn't frightening at all despite the reference. In fact, it was quite beautiful, I love to stargaze and I enjoyed the read.

A wonderful poem shared dear Chris. I work the nightshift. I leave work and the 3am stars are so beautiful. When the blue moon was here last month. I stopped and I watched the sky for a hour.
"no finer sight will you see
than the glory of galaxies afar
embracing our blue planet"
I agree with the above lines. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

well done .. puts me there Christine! love those twinklers for sure ;) I took Beauregard the dog out earlier .. around 2:30 AM .. we have a waning but very bright moon .. enough to cast shadows and block out a lot of the stars .. but one just to the right of Bella Luna was shining so bright itself .. alone with the moon .. it was enough :) times when I can see the Milky Way blow me away .. like your poem .. especially inspired by Vs 2&3 ... with "...sequinned sky glow" and"...tiny shiny spangles
a silent seranding(sp) song" a thrill just to roll those words off the tongue ... really enjoyed .. i feel happy and blessed :)

I have returned to this old poem of mine following a visit from Stella to find your lovely review which I haven't acknowledged. Ten months ago! Better late than never I say. I do love those stars but air pollution prevents me from seeing them as clearly as I would like. Much better when we are boating. It seems you have perfect t views. The milky way, then you are blessed. Take care my friend.
It appears as a dark, silken veil studded with diamonds to me. It looks best with silence all around and no lights anywhere around. Its a surreal, mystical experience. You described it perfectly for me, dear Chris. I'll be looking forward to watching the night sky more!

Sending my favourite Kat a Sunday hug. Always good to see you. ( ), ..........

Big Hug to you my friend! 😽💕
I often love lounging on my terrace late night, feasting on the star-spangled sky above. An expanse of glitter any which way I turn! It's a shame we're deprived of this celestial glory so often by pollution and smog. This for me is an extremely beautiful poem as you worded it just the way I feel when I am up watching the sky.

Sadly if you want to see a beautiful night sky you have to keep away from the light pollution in the cities. That:s one of the reasons I enjoy boating so much, to get out in the sticks. Embracing our blue planet... the Stars are forever aligned to keep our minds and hearts as pure as Moonbeams on a Starry night. A lovely poem that gives the Heavens a place of Honor and Grace. truly, Pat

When you gaze into the heavens, it sure does open your mind to all possibilities. Nothing like a star studded night for romance. Keep well my dear friend, you and yours.
ooo yes yes yes, I really really dig this. I'm new but from this poem alone you're one of my new favs.
nothing I'd particularly change about it, except...I donno blue planet sounds a little...bright, almost, for this nighttime poem. Honestly, I'd just switch the word "blue" to "navy" so it has a darker hue and then it wouldn't disrupt my feel of the poem.
