They can grow to their heart's content in a neighbours garden. Just not mine. A single dandelion clock, blown and watched in slow motion is very special though, don't you think? Takes me back to childhood magic and make believe. Thank you Neville.

Such a pretty sight they were flying at speed as the sky turned thunderous. They were certainly in a hurry. I was thankful they were being carried in the opposite direction to my home :)) Have a wonderful Sunday and blessings to you and yours. So pleased for this visit after the poem I pulled a few days ago.
I love this one. "I want pretty flowers, I've no wish for weeds" is how I feel about relationships nowadays. I want pretty souls around me for a change...

Chris - I empathize with you. They look so pretty, nice, and yellow, but then, they do become a nasty fellow. As children, we loved to blow apart the balls of puff not knowing we'd make mowing the lawn so tough. This year I went to war, those yellow buds, they are no more. Or least very few.
Take care - Dave

I love the bright, sunny yellow heads of dandelions, but I am not friends with their seeds. They can stay away. Thank you my friend for this review taking meme back in time.
Lovely description of a squall of birds flying north or south; why di they pick ominous weather to fly? Just don’t land in my garden...please
I like the way you strutted this poem, it flows and flows...

Another lesson from nature. There are two sides to everything; a pleasing natural displays becomes the cause of weeds later. The bitter with the sweet, as they say.

An inundation of weeds: death of gardens.
Brings to mind brutal social misfits who choose to mindlessly destroy what they have been conditioned
not to understand.
Forgive me, these days, just about everything causes this theme to echo in my overly-focused psyche.
Unnecessary--permanently damaging--social upheaval has always troubled me.
Lovely and amusing poem, Christine.

The first part made me think of the Wizard of Oz, with that Kansas storm about to blow Dorothy away. Then it changed and I cursed those blasted weed seeds. (They terrorize my garden, too!) I like this poem with all its dynamic blowing and going.
