Queen of Sheen

Queen of Sheen

A Poem by Chris Shaw

in the darkest of heavens
she sails celestial throughout
a silkened black night sky

polished skin gleaming to
pristine perfection
a silver orb suspended

above the silhouettes of
chimneys on sleeping roofs
on guard till dawn

aloof she moves in lunar
light, a blank canvas of
mysterious radiance

a ghostly ship haunting
a vast dark sea, mesmerising
many an admirer's eye

I think I just saw the man on the moon wink after I read this. Well, it's either that or I ned to wash that snudge off my kitchen window.
To be honest, I'm just happy to see he's not avoiding me and hiding behind a blanket of clouds... Maybe the sun will come out to play later too 😀
Beautifully captured Chris. A moment we all recognise and can get lost in.

She's stunning indeed....her radiance draws poets and predators alike.. Even coyotes howl for her whose light is love.
