She Walks Through The VeilsA Poem by Chris ShawA lyric for lovers of folk music
there's no need for shivers
there's no need for fear her visit is friendly she loves you my dear when she crosses the centuries to break through the veil she does so with loving though the telling seems stale there's something about you your spirit your face that lends to her calling though she leaves with no trace her silence misleading her aloofness not meant for she died for her darling and her death was well spent so when you next see her just ask for her name so the spirits can guide you and you'll know why she came acknowledge you know her and away she will go though her memory will linger yet her presence won't show
