Your lovely poem imparts a whisper of much-needed hope in these hard times Chris. So many of us now facing "the longest of nights"... My younger brother is just now recovering from Coronavirus, thank God. He has been battling it for two months now. It has been two months of these dark nights shared. He is in NY and I'm in Florida...an agony of nights passed. This virus is a fierce beast. But, as you beautifully describe, the sun rises anew with "healing rays" each day and the "petal pink moon" bathes us with empathy. Beautiful thoughts. Beautiful poem. Thank you.

Such poetic lines "a petal pink moon" such a beautiful encouraging poem for those with sadness. A wonderful reminder that as bad as things are they will change and sooner or latter get better.

Many thanks Soren. I appreciate your visit and your thoughts. All the best.
soft yet uplifting words Chris, when things go wrong or illness strikes the night hours always seem longer and full of darkness.
There is always a light however small that will find a way through if you just "Believe"

I am so pleased for them and they are only 3 miles away so no doubt i will see them soon

I had to walk away from mine to protect my youngest child who they didn't like and my own sanity Chris , maybe that's why i don't miss them ... high flyers they might be but that doesn't impress me at all , it's how they got there by self first methods that i don't like. Anyways my youngest is calm , caring and a very kind person to everyone .

Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
