maybe it's just as well we don't know when that moment will arrive .. at least most of us don't .. here though, you have not only reminded us of our own mortality, indeed of all things both animate and inanimate, but you have most importantly captured the very essence of life's fragility .. the fleeting and transitory nature of it ............ having got that off my chest, I must also say it's an honour to be #75 on your impressive list of reviewers .. an amazing achievement and most worthy .. Neville

Against the backdrop of the eternal circle of life, the fragility of our own brief moment, (each of us no more immortal than the little leaf,) is so elegantly scripted here Chris.
As it always has done, and even should the course of history be forever changed, the sun will continue to shine.
Prayers for you and yours to stay safe and well.
Beccy.

We are all fragile creatures and I think that has been highlighted over the past week or so. No one knows what tomorrow brings....we are all people of "one day"....and we know not when that day will be. The imagery in this poem is stunning, Chris. Lydi**

You really know how to use words, Chris. Have read quite a few superbly laid posts on the present nightmare, but here, there's light focussed so gently 'pon the most vunerable of life, Mankind, It truly has hit home for me. Apparently, trees haunt you.
Utterly lovely, Chris, and--as always--far more than meets the eye.
"...in waters of history": an apt, powerful closing.
Impressive work, gifted poetess!
Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
