Blame it on tv

i watched in total awe

as ice crystals grew in

fine slow motion footage

bare branches became

draped in winter filigree

a haunting breathless beauty

i gasped at this sheer loveliness

as pristine white layers disguised

dark stark fingers of bark

beckoning boney digits

a fantasy fairy land of coldness

intricate, delicate, perfection

"how can you convey in words

such creation", says i and he replied

without the blink of an eye

without hesitation, he said

with his own brand of sincerity

"don't ask, it all looks friggin freezing"

I had to laugh at the ending of this one, Chris. Winter can be beautiful to watch. The ice forms patterns on the windows and the icicles hang from the branches...truth is though, I would prefer to watch it in a painting because, yes, it is "friggin freezing!: LOL Good one, Chris. Lydi**

it is nigh on impossible to capture the whole of its beauty .. but what we do capture (or some of us) is magnificent .. only later (much later perhaps) when we look down upon it and differently, shall we maybe smile broadly and think at least we tried .. and anyway, its neva been the same since they introduced channel 4 .. has it :)
