well done ... really appreciate the call of your closing line ... take the time .. never waste a drop .. our "special" days that exude our seasons are precious indeed ... to be rolled in ... reveled in .. breathed deeply in ... the haiku form is perfect for the theme ... you create an intimate and emotive scene that has power and imagination ... again .. nice one says i!

I remember longing for robust sunshine, when the rays got so bleak in the winter. This is such a beautiful and meaningful haiku.

A brief and lovely ode to Autumn, my very favorite season--one spectacular time of year, that is too quickly gone.
Breathtaking portrayal, Chris.

So thoughtful at this time of year. We have been blessed with what is called an "Indian Summer."
The sun is, as you describe, golden in the sky. It has been further accented with cloudless blue skies.
Forced by its' beauty to go outdoors and enjoy and appreciate it.
Take care - Dave
I've really been drinking it in of late. The trees are changing color, as if God took a paintbrush and stained them overnight. Beautiful to drink it in indeed.
