"some join hands" wish people did...and especially government, instead of all the fighting...
do they care about us?
i love your line "more reds than greens or tangerines" so colorful and rolls off the tongue so sweetly.
some beautiful images which is great irony considering the subject.
excuse me a second, Chris...oops...sorry....i just sneezed, from the "sawdust" getting in my nose...

Yes sad state of affairs we have here. Many have forgotten what the word democracy means. We have chaos going on in Parliament with chimps on the green benches. Sharp contrast to the peace of my autumn garden.
Wonderful write, Chris! It is not just politicians in the UK that have heads filled with sawdust, sadly. It seems something happens after they are elected! Beautiful metaphor. If we could all blend as the colors of the leaves do, what a wonderful world we would inhabit! Lydi**

It is difficult not to get drawn into it at times. This period leading up to the end of this month is likely to get even worse. Good to see you here. I always appreciate your visits.
Here in the USA. Had this for many years.
"A Parliament that's truly dead.
A Parliament it must be said,
whose politicians heads are filled

Too busy fighting over useless things. Our so-call leaders need to fix problems, not create them. Always a pleasure to read your work dear friend.

I caught a bit of it and saw the chaos that ensued. The turning of leaves and the changing of colors is a good metaphor for it all.

I like how your rhymed 'greens' with 'tangerines'.
Harmony or hostile? The question, seems to be the theme.' And you don't seem optimistic.
To be honest, I have no idea what's really going on. It's well written though so, well done doll face.

You don't need to know much other than politicians have lost the plot. They have forgotten the meaning of the word democracy. Doll face:) Are you partaking of the weed? Lol.
Sometimes the truth is ugly, and what we've witnessed in world-wide
politics is truth that is beyond belief. We have the mentality of middle school
bullies running the world. sigh.
Good job, Chris!

A very beautiful, image laden nature poem interrupted by the raucous memory of politics. How about a deal? If you take Mr. Trump, we'll take Mr. Johnson.

I simply believe he should be returned to the business and entertainment fields, where he can't do any more damage. Also, I have never been desperate to get shot. Desperate for a shot is another matter.
Love this poem Chris, and your descriptions and 'painting' a scene. As someone from another country, words defy me as to what is going on in Parliament there. Thinking of the country and its citizens. Prayers :)

It's been a while since we spoke last. Yes, a sorry state of affairs we find ourselves in. Sharp contrast between the peace of my autumn garden and the chaos of a parliament who have forgotten the meaning of democracy. Take care my friend.
I think it can be safely said that there is a degradation on both sides of the pond. The politicians are a symptom of the disease, the people. Until the people get right and quit voting these imbeciles into office, this is what's going to continue to happen. It's quite shameful and embarrassing to say the least.
