Haikus are a perfect example of how structure can force a writer to really be precise in word choice in order to capture the moment. This is a lovely glimpse … one that immediately evoked a memory of being along the water on the Blue Ridge Parkway, watching the sun turn the water into molten gold. Beautiful!

You're welcome 😊 👏
Right off the bat you started with a song title from one of my favourite groups ... Dave Clark Five, so this lovely haiku jumps off the page.
The blast of light on water on a summer's day is hard on the eyes but definitely enriches the soul.

A good write Chris.

Your title stands out as much as your poem! I love how you start out with a playful taunt . . . so unusual in short poems like this. Usually haiku/senryu are static descriptions so I love how you inject playful dynamic sensations! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
