Sun-kissed water is hard to beat. There aren’t many things that give me that same feeling of awe bubbling over.
The lovely thing about a river is the way you can feel that sense of primitive oneness with the natural world. If you’re in the right spot and there is more nature than human symbol.
A lovely, peaceful poem, Chris.

I have to say I have a total fascination for sunlight when it dances on water. I find it so mesmerising, it is hard to draw my eyes away. I also find it spiritually uplifting. Your review is lovely and most welcome.
Sun rays on water … a cup of coffee … a place to rest your feet … the morning air … what could possibly top that.

Thank you Pat for your very poetic response to my haiku. It was delightful.
Another lovely river scene set like a picture in a well crafted haiku Chris.

The only place suncream passes its expiry date before being opened. We also start taking our clothes off at anything above a sixty watt bulb. Sunshine is that rare 😀
Chris... a sweet Haiku for any sunrise in the world.
Blushing pink ... kisses for breakfast.
We have the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
The River reflects the warm glow. A nugget of pure gold.

This was indeed a very beautiful sunrise to be blessed with. Always thankful for mother nature's gifts. She isn't always so generous. Many thanks for your visit.
Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
