Fickle forsythia .... I love it! Yes it does seem as though plants lose their direction in the early days of Spring. But, as Jacob says, with the coming of summer they glow in their true glory! Our garden is just waking up, and it is wonderful to see. Your Haiku is very good, especially as it has universal undertones, and can be applied to many other things.

Hello Chris!
Your choice of words is so beautiful and enthrals a word-lover! Stunning images of the flower going wayward in the April breeze. Your words have a deeper undertone for me though. I just loved this senryu 💕

Got that hummm factor ... really great structure in what I feel is a brilliant format. The forsythia is also known as the 'Easter tree' - so - very seasonal to boot - >;)

Many thanks Phill for your response. I appreciate your thoughts.
Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
