Fickle forsythia .... I love it! Yes it does seem as though plants lose their direction in the early days of Spring. But, as Jacob says, with the coming of summer they glow in their true glory! Our garden is just waking up, and it is wonderful to see. Your Haiku is very good, especially as it has universal undertones, and can be applied to many other things.

it was, but now tis gone .. & now looking forward, to yet another one .. Neville
i would say this past April is the fickle one Chris! we had two nights of hard frost that snapped the leaves of our more delicate trees and bushes ... i love the way forsythia can splay its slim, elegant limps ... so clearly meant to herald the sunshine of summer .. all gold and yellow in profusion ... one can loose direction in many ways eh!? ;) your haiku sends me lost in a daydream of bliss ... but thats just me i guess :) peace and love

I love this shrub and its abundant golden blooms. Such a joy to be hold. Quite mesmerising to look at and that's when those daydreams start. Love and peace to you from across the pond on a dull Sunday morning. Just about to walk the dog, her tail wagging furiously. Take care.

Beauregard is still snoring ... usually he has been out by now (its 5:20 AM) yes .. the winds of change have rather raged this year already .. back and forth ... i pray the direction now stays from the warm moist South ... bringing more healing and health along with it ... written a year ago its rather prophetic if one applies it that way ... Norma and i have been talking about a hedge in front ... forsythia just might be the cats meow for it :))))))))))))))))))))))
A few well-chosen words can often do more than a long diatribe! I love forsythia!

A powerful senryu.
So much lovely imagery packed into so few words.
Practically, a movie's opening scene.

As long as it isn't blubbery, nothing worse than blubbery shrubbery! You are a burst of a fresh air breeze :) I could never do these haiku thingy's I tend to lose direction too... but this was a very pretty one
Love those forsythia!! Always signals spring. Seems to also signal the possibility of many things to come . . . who knows?!

Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
