When Leadership Is Called ForA Poem by Chris Shaw(my sense of humour, sorry)
On tv, an intense debate takes place
concerning the state of the nation as Brexit bamboozles and blinds with its complexity. Well, for some, not for me. Yet an equal amount of gloom pervades within the confines of our living room, between three others, parked on our comfy settee arguing about another critical matter to contemplate. This time it's the fate of the last square of chocolate. This calls for leadership says I, so in the blink of an eye I step up to the plate and solve the problem. Yummy it was too and gobsmacked were they. Dismayed expressions, not a sound until I put them out of their misery and found in my handbag a reserve supply of the stuff they all crave. Saved the day, all smiles. And I am left in awe of the power, I wield.
