Out With the Old, Ring In the NewA Poem by Chris ShawA New Year Poem for all of you
Farewell to the dying year.
Ring in the new, what will it bring? Will the road ahead be sunny, laughter filled, all milk and honey or will sorrow from the past months follow on and linger still? Let the pipers pipe their tidings. Let the revellers sing in gladness. Let the fireworks splash their sparkle, 'neath the brilliance of the moon. Cast aside all thoughts of darkness, sweep those shadows ever waiting, waiting for a Diva's entrance, lurking, silent, wrapped in gloom. Let the moments of the New Year raise all hope and expectation. Peace and love for every nation. Sing it loud and sing it clear. '
