dearest Chris... Stars are wishes waiting to be granted...
shining in the Heavens where loved ones dream.
And when they fall... we recall the Splendor of it all.
Perfect lullaby when Angels sing and bluebells ring in
melodies of the rising Sun. tenderly, Pat

It's these glimpses of the wonders of nature that can lift us from our day by day humdrum and remind us that we are but a tiny cog in the universe. You have caught this feeling well in your poem Chris. The last two years I've spent the night out atop my local hill and had a breathtaking display of rare noctilucent clouds..
Take care.

This excellent personal welcome to the stars through the skylight is a feeling that must have been shared by the many for as long as men have looked to the stars. When I worked energy in the Powder River Basin, you could pick any clear and moonless night sky and read a newspaper by starlight.
Your strong connection to all natural things around you makes for great reads.

He removed a sheet of tin from his roof and "jury rigged" a rollup tarp to open with a rope so he could lay in bed and look up at the stars. He lived in poverty and though he had nothing, he still had the stars, and that was enough, except when it was raining! Ha! Just wanted share that with you as you are one who truly loves the stars.

The skylight in my bedroom is just to the left of my bed, so I have a super view of the night sky with all its moods. Apart from loving the stars I also love the movement of cloud formations. They take on all shapes and keep me entertained when sleep evades :)
Hello, Christine! :)
This is a lovely poem for the stars. I like to lie in the grass and stare at them on cool nights. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice
We were watching a program on 'Acorn' about a murder mystery in Western Australia, and they often showed the night skies, with the absolutely incredible, uncountable, number of stars stretching across the amazingly bright night sky
It was actually stunning, which is the same thing my carbon copy, on that distant planet thought as he was looking back in our direction!
Your lovely poem reawakened that tremendous sight
Here!!!! It is overcast and pouring!!!

When young, I spent a lot of time gazing at the stars. Sometimes in the summer, I'd lie on a blanket out in the yard and stare at the heavens all night. (Well, until I fell asleep. A few times, I awoke to a dog licking my face.)This lovely poem tells me we share this affinity. So lucky you, having a skylight!

Sky is amazing.... With all its glory. And the starlight, that eternal shine, shining our lives, wiping all the sorrow and gloom. The star studded nights are best best friend of a lonely mind. Your poem is amazing as it described it so poetically. Thank you for this.... Keep writing about all the nature's beauty in this wonderful way....
