Venus VisitsA Poem by Chris Shaw
Beyond the view of waning moon
suspended in a pre-dawn sky, I searched for sequin studded stars. Alas their presence was concealed, though near appeared a planet bright revealed serene in argent light. The vast and open heavens drew a crescent smile from sleepy moon attracting planet's rounded eye. And there they stayed in harmony, content to be in company till daybreak chased the dark away.
