The Absent Tooth Fairy

The Absent Tooth Fairy

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(Bad tooth fairy)

"
Sing a song of golden coins,
poor Robbie hasn't any.
The fairy shirked her duties
and didn't leave a penny.
For days the tooth had wobbled
and given him some trouble,
because it was a back one
I told him he'd get double.
He went to bed quite early
and said that he felt sleepy.
He wrapped the tooth in tissue,
his face a wee bit cheeky.
I'm feeling rather guilty.
He seems a trifle puzzled.
"What happened to the fairy?"
She's feeling slightly sozzled.

U mean u forgot to place the magic penny under the child 's pillow? Poor munchkin. Tell it the fairy was sick and will put one when she recovers . You wrote it super cool splendidly as always makes us smile. You do have young children? Kudos for this poem. And warmest wishes.

Hehehehe! I can’t say I’ve ever heard of the tooth fairy not being able to pass the breathalyzer, so this is a fresh, unique take on the theme.

This piece is modern, but fills me with Dickensian delight. :):)

Tooth Fairy duties must be upheld. "pain-killers" are not to be imbibed by the fairies, themselves.
Highly entertaining, Chris!
