Silhouettes on MoonshineA Poem by Chris Shaw
Luminous, bright, full silvered light,
so lonesome on a starless night. In cobalt skies a bauble rests, unhooked a vision at its best. From window view in gable end I gaze in awe at its ascent. A branch creates a silhouette, dark leaves in dance, soft pirouette across the face of lunar sheen. Inside my bedroom I have seen breathtaking beauty, such delight, black floats on silver, wondrous sight. Heavenly body wanders free. A treasure fit for yuletide tree. This trinket travels way on high on tip toe gently through the sky.
