A Triumph of LoveA Poem by Chris Shaw
Without a doubt she is to me
a source of all that's light and bright, so when she filters through the veil which separates our distant worlds, I welcome her with open arms. Like toast which melts spread butter's heart, or cocoa topped with whipped up cream, she soothes and comforts, calms the mind. Her kindness, patience, lipstick breath has not been lost to thoughtless death. And while I live, then so does she I hear her whisper in my ear, I hear her wisdom when its sought and if I hold my hand to air I swear our fingers softly touch. Eva I thank you, hold you dear, pretend at times that you're still here. It's effortless recalling you, the time we shared has downstream passed but all that love was built to last.
