Great title and message in these eloquent verses. As the cream in our coffee is able to naturally blend, so should we stop and take the time to do the same with each other. I think that’s it. But maybe it’s just appreciation of a good cup of of coffee. Either way, it’s creative and so very clever dear Chris. Love!

sometimes, even the slightest of small observations are captured and transformed into poems seemingly bigger and more powerful than the inspiration that preceded the penning of them .. this is a splendid example of what I mean :)

Thank you Neville for giving this little poem an airing.
Perhaps, a rich cup of inclusiveness.
Although your unique, poetic description of strong and attractive coffee totally justifies this piece.
Enjoyed the read, Chris!

I do liked the description of the cream on the coffee. Too bad the coffee must be drank and mess-up the artwork. Thank you Chris for sharing the amazing poetry. I do love coffee myself.

I'm so glad I read this Chris, I thought I was the only one that got hypnotised by the swirls and smell. It usually ends with me snapping out of it and gulping lukewarm coffee down in one.
I do find contemplating the swirls a great start to the day.:)

Putting an essence of poem in percolater has indeed released a fresh aroma from this coffee-like write. I enjoyed how you depicted the activities of all those warm adaptation that elements of the drink do with these lines: 'white swirls in black, blends without argument' this was such a cute portrayal I must say. It shows a lovely bond between the milk and coffee. Greatly penned. :D

Thank you so much moog-drika for your great review.
My favorite thing is when a writer picks a completely unexpected topic to write about! Your title is so delicious, I was already "all in" . . . but I became even more enamored at how you open this up with a bossy directive declaring a moment of space to let this swirl unfold. That's banging with imagination! Then you mop things up at the end with an apology, so cute, so spontaneous, you really know how to tap into the uninhibited! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
