Very elegant haiku, Chris, that paints a serene picture. What a great month May is. Warmer, still green, so many new or reawakened things from nature. I like the way you don't lay this on with a trowel - nice deft but on-point brush strokes that tell pictures. Nice work!

Sorry but you missed out the banks lined with daffodillys gently waving on the May breeze and the birds singing in the trees
That is what your lines made me see > A walk along the Derwent banks in Cockermouth

Not a daffodil in sight yesterday along the banks of the Thames, but the May blossom was there in abundance in all its pink glory. You though, are in Wordsworth country and of course that's where the daffodils are truly famed. Thank you
