Bursting The BubbleA Poem by Chris ShawSky gazing...
I this, I that, my poems chat
of loved ones, friends and matters which I can't allow my pen to ditch. Yet in these times I've come to see and recently far more than I had realised in months before, that peace is like an apple pie. A pie that's baked with love and care and there it waits upon a plate where vultures hover, filled with hate to desecrate the good in it. I woke this morning, sleep filled eyes alighted on a heart shaped cloud so white, so bright, so full of hope and drifting in a sky of blue. But moments later came a plane and like a piercing dart it struck, an arrow trail of vapour left which shattered all the perfect shape and tore this lovely heart apart. My cloud its bubble truly cursed, the brains of it were torn apart and what remains, the pain conveyed within this troubled piece of verse.
