Gosh, Christine!
The title really lured me into this one.
This charming, image-laden little Senryu elicits a myriad of thoughts to mind, other than the obvious, but I always did have a rather vivid imagination … anything on the lips seems to stir my senses. ; )
To me, these wee Japanese forms (Senryu and Haiku) display more appealingly when centered … just a shared thought.
Perfect count and great imagery … love it! ⁓ Richard : )

Clever title! Leads you in by thinking “hmm”and then in the subgect you are left thinking again. A charming riddle for the reader so as the Haiku it is both “sensual” and “got ya” in only your 17 syllables. Strange, but I found myself trying one last week and after I wrote out several of them, I got the beat down quite readily so then the challenge resided in the subject matter. Is your less truly more. Not sure that I’d rate this one on those 5 stars but in, once again ever so clean and smooth a delivery as it is cleverness in its double entendre, well I just might be so inclined to give it at least the high praise and recognition it justly deserves. It got me so there is that…lol~

Decided to give it an airing. Inspired by my time spent in Brixham near the harbour. That taste of sea sakt on the lips is memorable:) I do like this form and use it every now and again. So you have been trying them too? More difficult than they look. They do take time. Many thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts . Have yourself a great Monday.

Been going through a lot of my older ones as well and laughing cause I know what I did, but it was a pleasure to read your Haiku and yes I have been writing out some haiku. Being a musician helps. It all has a beat that is a memorable repetition although I tend to try and skip the sixth or ninth every now and then to make it interesting never the one, four, five as that is a rock and roll sin..lol. As for the others, well it never works but that's why I go through the older bunch and record so I can get the smoother beat, yet for some reason I leave it here as it is. The subject matter is more the interesting part I find and you done good..lol. Is it just me or are some poems just better off being read? I think that is why I leave it as it reads. Just have to feel the subjects that transcend the rhyme scheme..weird huh?
dear Chris... a Kiss well seasoned with sea salt is a pleasure

I am missing the Brixham harbour where I could watch the world go by and taste the tang of sea salt on my lips. An old poem out for a spring airing. Have a lovely day.
A most delicate way to blend the double meaning of "seasoning" like salt & pepper, etc. . . . with the idea of "seasoned" as possibly being an old grizzled seafarer! I love those kisses with tang the best. You pack your short poem with a ton of sensory delight (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
