Silence

Silence

A Poem by cassandra violet

I listened to the waves crash,

The rustle of leaves in currents of wind,

To the song of content birds

All to escape the silence

That echoed against the walls of my mind.

But when I tuned them out

I heard music within me playing wildly,

And I learned that it could never stop

And there was no such thing as silence.

This is such a beautiful poem, my favourite of yours for sure!
Your imagery just brought me there! I just love when people write about nature, it's so peaceful!
A great write :)

Your words are true. Takes a deep meditation to block out the mind from thinking. I learn to love silence. I love the sounds of nature. But to be alone by a river and be able to think. No better place. A excellent poem. Thank you.
