There is a fire inside me That has always been lit Because these flames are who I am, want to become, and have always been.
It has been soaked By the rain Of life. It has been blown on By the winds Of change- But it cannot be Put out.
The light of My heart is the sun, The shine of the moon over evening shadows, The stars that dreamers Gaze upon at night.
We are either Born with a fire Or given None at all, But it is our duty To make sure that if our soul was birthed with spark it is never put out. And to this day mine has not been, it still blazes Wildly within.
"It has been soaked
By the rain
Of life.
It has been blown on
By the winds
Of change-"
I love that, because these are the two things that make life the most difficult. It's interesting that one of them would be life itself, but that's how it seems to be sometimes.
Anyways, excellently written.
I like this a lot! I love the metaphors your used and I agree with the statement you're making. We all have burning desires we long to put out, I think you wrote about that nicely. Good job!
May your fire only grow stronger and brighter my friend. You confess such richly painted truths here, and remind me that though the rains pour down, the fire need not be extinguished. Powerful!
Awesome write. I think everyone has that spark in them. Sadly for many, it is put out during youth, never to be rekindled. Some of us seem to be able to keep that ember burning no matter what life throws at us.
I hate this part. This is the part where I try to tell you who I am, what I've been and what I want with every single last milimeter of blood dancing in my veins to become- the person who my heart bea.. more..
