![]() When the Moment CameA Poem by cassandra violet![]() This is part of a new collection of poems I'm working on that are about dreams I've had.![]() The hour was dark when I woke in bed rising to restlessly gaze out towards the moon whose candle poured dripping wax upon the streets, lighting the shadows with fire. I observed it with awe as I longed deeply to see the sight of similar settings, the pondering impregnated me with curiosity and my sanity set as I strolled outside into the uncertainty of the vacant night, heart beating more wild with each different sight brought from my steps. My stubborn soles could not stop, they galloped freely towards the vast down land’s different paths until I came to the sands of a shore tinted softly with the birth of morning light. Dawn danced dressed in vivid silk to the music of waves swaying, frolicking through the fields of the sky in crimson hue, glistening off the fabric of nature to reveal waters freckled with sparkle, with mountains of saffron sand. Blossoms woke behind me, unfolding plum shaded petals rising from the swerving hips of grass’ blades. My soul begun to mirror the world around me, becoming the tango of trees, the innocence of the precious petals, the glide of the waves, and I became aligned with the setting- the moment I had been waiting for for all of my life. © 2011 cassandra violetReviews
