Feel This Scene

Feel This Scene

A Poem by cassandra violet

The candle light of the moon’s shine surrounds us,

glistening on the ground against the grass.

We’re swimming in a sea of shimmers

yet your eyes are dim with dusk. Fading lust,

soft lips lost, chapped with drying desire,

a heart tired of the world, longing for fresh breaths

while we roam unexplored shadows

as I seek to save your soul,

the essence of your florescence as it flickers,

the might of your fire dying

drowned by the tide of your tears as they rain from your eyes

though the stars soft sparkle burns like charcoal.

You need to feel the sight of this scene

and let it sew the holes of your seams,

patch the silk of your heart,

hear the sound of its song as its wild beats caress you.

Smile with the rising sun as it sends a parade of colors

marching with the tune of the world’s sound.

Tango with the winds as they climb higher then the mountains.

Be the bark of these trees, these stable tables

whose fruit and leaves are a delicious feast.

Let go of the dark and feel the warmth of your heart

because once it’s been felt, from it you’ll never want to part.

You’ll embark in the sea of which I sail

as your sorrows sleep and misery rests

with the beds of the sun’s sweet set.

Beautiful skill of expression. A joy to read and to feel. A bounty of poetry, like, "the essence of your florescence as it flickers", bravo.

absolutely stupendous. thanks so much for sharing this with me, I had to read it over and over in order to truly comprehend, if that is what I'm able to do at all. So many people hold such a gift as you do, it's so difficult in our world today to share it. I am so glad I was able to read such a beauty from you.

To reach out to a fading heart, in the hope it will revive, and blossom once again, is something I once tried and failed.
This is such a deep and heartfelt poem, that somehow reaches into a heart, well written superbly written in fact

Very fresh and modern. Nonchalant style with incredible extensions of vocabulary. A common, modernized style that you twist in your own way to stand out amongst the others.

I quite enjoyed reading this. It includes some interesting metaphors and creative use of language. Although it does not relate specifically to Christmas, there are a few references to this time of year. Whilst reading, I also acquired the impression that this writer has some degree of affinity with the beauty of nature? Although intense in places, relatively little emotion is described in this piece. Indeed, the emphasis is more on visual descriptions (sometimes laced with simplistic and yet effective wording). Thankyou, for sharing this with us!
