Where do his dreams lie?

Where do his dreams lie?

A Poem by cassandra violet

He’s always on my pillow,

Sleeping softly like the set sun

As his shy lips exhale tiny grunts

That grind against my skin.

As I stare at his shadowed face in the dim light,

It ignites tingles that mingle down my spine.

In this moment I wonder if our thoughts are aligned

And somewhere in his dreams

My lips give him the freedom of the sea,

If my touch is like a tree

That he can find shade underneath.

His lips are closed, lined with pale ginger lashes,

I can imagine their sweet color every time I close my eyes

Because I’ve stared at them more then I have a sublime sunrise.

His voice is like a light against the night,

And oh! The sight that light brings

As it makes my heart beam,

And isn’t it funny to think I wonder all of this as his mind dreams

Because I cannot sleep or rest while such a body lies so close to me in bed.

Wouldn't it be grand if someone thought like this while we slept? You show love in so many ways with your pen. Inking little stories that display the trust, communication, desire and being of what love could or should be in ones life. Beautiful is this and I can only imagine that others would want to feel this way about another and to be looked upon like this as they slept.
