Seduced by LiesA Poem by xX Antithesis XxAfter writing words; You kissed the flesh on the shoulder With the same lips which seduced to a lie. It never occurred that at those moments (With arms wrapped around the warm casement of vein and blood) That this…would have any effect In causing rain to fall From the same blue eyes you captivated with your own; (Minds are more nimble and sympathetic than this) And yet you see not the torturous moments you create. With recklessness showing affection to the blind …All for self-gain. In the land of the blind, you have the only eye And so ruthlessly and hard heartedly You rule these naïve and well natured souls To cliffs jaded with sharp and treacherous rocks Awaiting to tear their flesh and souls. And then their broken souls are consumed with the sharp tongue You so avidly use to stretch these truths, Leaving them to their own devices of imagination. Only time will tell when you may fall to your own devices Struck down by the half truths, Once uttered from your poisonous lips; Lips which kissed the flesh on the shoulder of the betrayed.
