Lost History

Lost History

A Poem by xX Antithesis Xx
"

I thought I might try my hand at a Villanelle which is a French style where it interchanges the rhyme of two lines to create a story of the sort.

"

If eyes could mark one thousand years

Blood shed sorrow in shallow graves

And wake up dead with unbound tears

The many few and proud bestowed

In this lifetime have untold

If eyes could mark one thousand years

The stories written and painted black

Marked the unknown on granite stone

And wake up dead with unbound tears

Sword and sheath, the friendly blade

Painting red the sand and sea

If eyes could mark one thousand years

A boy sees through man's eyes

Lat fall many that surrendered to dust

And wake up dead with unbound tears

On paper now the stories unfold

In hands of children turned to gold

If eyes could mark one thousand years

And wake up dead with unbound tears.

About
This is the part where I tell you all about who I am and what I am here for. The second part should be obvious...I'm here to write. To tell stories, to write poetry, and mostly to share my thoughts .. more..
