Shadows to Unfold

Shadows to Unfold

A Poem by Killah Cam
"

She was told before December

"

She was knit in a coil,

Knees to chest.

She's like a child,

Waterfalls cascading down her chin.

Crossed arms,

Holding herself close.

Breathing unsteadily,

Spasm of the Throat.

She was a twinkling star,

Floresent & gold,

Now dull and burnt out,

Shadows to unfold.

When her heart collapsed,

I could view it through her eyes,

Cold as a stone,

Filled with lies.

I could view it throught her smile,

Lacking vibrance of the sky,

A falling child,

Unable to fly.
